Whether you're new to judo and want to know how to get started, have participated in judo for a number of years or even just enjoy watching the sport having never stepped on the mat, there's plenty of ways you can get involved. As well as telling you how you can get started on the mat, this area lets you know about all of the other opportunities in coaching, officiating, refereeing and volunteering.
If you want to give judo a try then there's lots of ways you can get started. People start judo at all ages and in most cases your first session will be free, so you've nothing to lose in giving it a go.
Without volunteers, the sport of judo in the UK would not be where it is today. From the coaches who operate a small club on a weekly basis to the people who help to lay mats at local events, the sport is reliant on volunteers at all levels.
If you love judo and want to get more involved, why not take a look at the options on the right-hand menu to see if there's a role that suits you.
